Deal with Your Debt: Free Yourself from What You Owe

This book by Liz Weston deals with conventional wisdom about debt. Sometimes it is simply not practical to be able to pay off every dime of debt quickly. Doing that can leave you living at a lower quality of financial life and a poorer in the long run. You’re more likely to be discouraged and give up, or pay off the wrong debts leaving you little flexibility to survive a financial crisis. Additionally you could find yourself not saving for retirement as a result and be worse off.

The strength of this book is its straightforward delivery of conventional wisdom. How to deal with everything from student loans to mortgages and debt consolidation is discussed in the book. Liz Weston provides tips and guidance in developing and implementing a debt management plan.

The book is a good beginner’s book with plenty of common sense advice that is easy and uncomplicated and free of unrealistic thinking. The book would be valuable for anyone thinking of advancing their education or making a large purchase. Liz Weston provides information that is valid and is interestingly presented.

I think you will find Liz Weston’s book “Deal with Your Debt: Free Yourself from What You Owe” a worthwhile read and worth your time.
